Nationality Iraqi-British. Graduated in 1977. Became partner at OMA in 1977. First architectural Project 1994. "Vitra Fire Station" Started her own practice in 1980. (age : 30) Won Pritzker Prize in 2004. (age : 54) First woman to ever win this award. Won Stirling Prize in 2011 & 2012. (age : 61-62). Won RIBA Gold Medal in 2015. (age : 65). Her architecture was unique and revolutionary, and she definitely was a great contributor in defining the future of architecture. 2016 Pritzker Prize awarded to Chilean Architect Alejandro Aravena.
Mr. Aravena's work is fueled by the community and the public's participation in the design process. His work focuses on trying to use architecture as a solution to some of the biggest problems facing the world today such as migration, climate change and the lack of resources.
