And after the city lock-down happened in Paris, the "15-minute City" and reducing the car usage became a great reopening plan, to avoid crowding on the public transportation and minimize the pollution that was considered a link to COVID-19 in the Mayor's opinion. Also, reducing car usage is one of the city's plans, and that will be achieved by taking away surfaces from car lanes and repurposing it as public community spaces.
